Whew! I feel like I haven't posted in forever! Ive been super busy with all of the rehearsals for the Little Mermaid I've been busy with.
But I'm back now with a big surprise!
Its so big, I didn't even know it was coming until we passed a garage sale on my street on our way to pick up some groceries. Then my brother and I walked down to see if they had anything good.
And they totally did!
Meet Isla Josefina Sparrow Montoya, a.k.a Josefina!I almost had a heart attack when I saw a one-legged Josefina on the table. I asked the super nice lady running the sale how much "the pretty doll" was, and she said, get this, $2.00! She seemed to know a lot about AG because she was telling me that she was an AG and her name was Josefina and that she's a Historical Character from New Mexico, and that there's a hospital I can send her to. She was so nice!
My amazing little brother Max generously paid for Josefina. He's so sweet, and I love him so much!
Here's her dismembered leg. For two dollars, it was %100 worth it to send her to the doll hospital. We're probably going to Washington, D.C. again this year, and if we do, we'll send her from there.
Her hair was in this gorgeous French braid when I got her (I've since taken it out). Her hair is so thick, and it's a very dark brown, almost black. It's a little dry, but not very.
And on tyne back of her neck, it says Pleasant Company! I don't know if she's PM or not, but that'd be incredible if she was because PM Josefinas were only made for one year :O If you or someone you know could help me better identify this doll, PLEASE comment/send me to their website/email me. Thank you!:D
I've renamed her Isla because I think kit better suits her, and because I live on an island;) she's going to be on the Meet the Dolls page very shortly, BUT be aware that the Meet the Dolls page is going to be under some major construction soon. I'll update this post (and post a new one) when this project is done.
Thanks for reading!
