Isabelle's Books and Minis at Barnes ands Noble+Review!

Hello everyone! Today I went to Barnes and Noble with my dad and brother. They had Isabelle's books and mini dolls on display! I took pictures with my iPod, so sorry they're low quality. Enjoy!
They had a table out with her mini dolls and three books.
 Isabelle,
 Designs by Isabelle,
and To the Stars, Isabelle. Once my library or I get them, I'll give you a book review!
My local Barnes and Noble had lots of mini dolls! There were even a few mini Saiges, so if you missed out, I suggest you check again!
This is our AG section, plus a spinny-rack thingy with the craft and advice books. Look how many minis they had in addition to the shelf in the picture above and the Isabelle table!

We had a lot of fun at Barnes and Noble today! But I had some spending money saved up, so I bought something!
 Introducing Mini Isabelle!!!

She's so pretty! And you know what that means, review! Here's the front of her box.
The back of her box has a picture of her, a summary of her story, and her price.

This is what she looks like when you first open her box. The book is in a plastic tray on the lid.
 I love the mini books!0
 The illustration is gorgeous.
 Here she is!
Isabelle has hazel eyes and blond hair. t's done in two twists at the top, and it's in a side part.
I'm seriously in love with this shirt! I have to get it in my size! It features a ballerina with gold dots and tulle sleeves.
Her pants are a shimmery gray denim with an elastic waistband.
Her shoes are gold and sparkly. They have bows and a slight open heel.
Her goes down to about her bottom. You can't see the magenta...
…unless you fan it out. I'm actually happy with the amount of dye. It symbolizes that while coloring looks good, you're beautiful no matter what. Hope I inspired everyoneXD
You can see it the best by lifting up her hair.
Her undies are made of the same material as her shirt.
From left to right- AG, LMM, Disney Store, AG mini, Barbie, La Dee Da
Here's Isabelle in comparison to some of my other dolls. This may or may not foreshadow something so come…*laughs evilly*
Overall, Isabelle gets a 9.5 out of 10! I wish her undies were thinner, because they make her look a little pudgy (not that that's a bad thing;)). I also wish her pants weren't so tight, because she can't "dance" in them. Oh well, I guess I need to sew her a dance wardrobeXD

Isabelle is going to go by Hayden around here. Isabella is going to be her middle name. You can look for her in the Meet the Dolls page. I've updated all of the dolls profiles, so be sure to check it out!

Well, I'm off to read and get ready for ballet tomorrow (ironically). Bye!

Vacation Sensation- How to Make an Inspiration Board

Hey guys! sorry I haven't been posting. I've been visiting family and friends, I saw Frozen (more on that in another post soon:D), and practiced for my blue badge in skiing (fingers crossed I get it on Friday!). So, today's the last day of vacation, so I'm going to make it the best! Expect a few posts here and on The Crazy Life of a Doll, too!

Today, I am going to show you how to make a super easy craft inspired by Isabelle! A fashion inspiration board!

 What You Need:

  • Pictures from catalogues/magazines (I used an AG catalogue)
  • Scissors
  • A glue stick
  • A thin piece of cardboard (like cereal box cardboard)
Step 1- Cut out pictures of clothes you like.

Step 2: Glue them on, folding over the sides if necessary. We are going to do a method of decoupage.
Continue gluing, overlapping them like this.
Cover the entire cardboard, folding and gluing excess over the sides to give it a decoupage feel.
Step 3: Use a clear drying glue stick to go over the entire thing.
Once dry, your board will look amazing!

Have fun!

Vacation Sensation- New Release!

Hello everyone! How's your 2014? Happy New Year's Day! Today, I'm just chillaxing with my family and making the new AG craft set I got! (Pics later? Yes? No?)
So, unless you don't know much about AG, you'll know that AG just released Isabelle, GOTY 2014! They released some MyAG, Bitty Baby, and Bitty Twin stuff as well. Here are my thoughts on the new releases!
Isabelle. Honestly, I don't like her. Her outfit's cute and she's pretty, but she looks like Lanie. AG's obsessed with blond. I'm definitely getting her mini, though.
Her pajamas look like Jasmine. I don't like these.
This is cute, but really not my style.
I'd totally want this if it wasn't $38. AG horrendously overpriced everything in Isabelle's collection. I mean, Isabelle's $120!
$30 for a biker jacket, gloves, a cheap purse, metal, and two pieces of paper? Back in the day (2012), I got the two-in-one ballet outfit that included a leotard, wrap sweater, ballet slippers, leg warmers, a skirt, pants, scrunchies, and a charm for $30. Makes you want to throw something, doesn't it?
Umm… no. When I first saw this, I really wanted it, but neither I or my parents are going to pay $44 or that.
Yay, a cat. Girls don't just have dogs and cats, AG. There are bunnies, hamsters, birds, fish, guinea pigs, pot-bellied pigs, snakes, lizards, even spiders. You can't make one of those?
I really like this set! The barre is cool, and LOVE the pointe shoes! But the pointe shoes make me mad because Isabelle is younger than me and already on pointe and I'm not:( Almost there!
This is sooooo cool! I love the sewing machine and the dress form! I could actually use this dress form for my sewing! And the cabinet has a barre on the front!

What I don't like about Isabelle's collection- The mix n' match stuff. Sure, I'll get some of it because it's really cute, but why not FULL OUTFITS? (Yes, if you've been to the AG website I know what you're thinking but just hang in there, I'm getting to that;))
 Uh, no.
Oooh, sparkles! I actually like this!
 What's with the random bow?
 These pants are weird.
I LOVE this! I want this in my size, too!
But I'm absolutely IN LOVE with this sweater! It's so cute!
 Eh, I have one.
No one wears purple leotards to practice, well, at least at my dance school.
 I like this one, though!
This creeps me out. Did a two-year old sew this? I really, really, really despise this.
 A tutu. Nice.

Girl clothes.
 Again with the Jasmine jammies!
 The slippers are cute, though.
I want this shirt! It's so me!
 I wouldn't wear these.
 No.
 No.
 Absolutely not.
YES!!! I want this sooo badly! It's just my style.
 This is cute...
 I want this too!
I have a better one. So do my dolls.
 Eh,
 Eh,
 I'd wear these.

And what I despise despise despise, the pre-made MNM outfits. They are so revoltingly overpriced, I want to stab a melon. Some are cute… and my BIG question which is a matter between purchase or not, do the outfits come with the ballet shoes shown? AG doesn't say on their website. If you know the answer, please tell me! Thanks!
 No.
Yes! If it comes with true shoes, yes!
I don't think so...
Oh my goodness CUTENESS OVERLOAD!!! If I get one thing from her collection, it'll be this. To bring down the price, I'll probably skip the leo under the sweater, but this is soooooooo cute!
 Again with he creepy top!
 This is cute...
 I like this one, too.
 No.
 That's a weird combination.
Eh, maybe I like it, I don't know...
 Definitely not this one.
 Umm...
 Okay...
 No...
Ahh! The Revenge of the Creepy Shirt!

 No...
 Maybe...
I've already found my favorites at the top.
 So I'll skip this one,
 and this one.

They have three of the MNM outfits together for girls.
How is it that Saige's starter collection came with more and was less expensive and Isabelle's comes with less and costs way more? I don't understand!

I'm going to get these. I have a collection of all of the GOTY's books since Mia, and I'm not letting it die. Usually one's from my parents and one I buy myself. I'll buy two myself this year;)
 I'm downloading this right now!

Isabelle's collection wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I think she'll sell well, and be super popular.

Now on to the MyAG stuff!
Cheap-looking. Barbie-like. Makes me want to eat some strawberries. But I like the shoes...
Cheap-looking. Bitty Baby-like. For some odd reason, makes me want pancakes…
Sorry about the size, but there was some weird malfunction with this on AG's website. Which is a shame, because it looks adorable! Cecile plays tennis, and that outfit is so Lanie!

I like the old ones better.

New shoes. Not as cute as the last ones.

Three new pairs of glasses (one wouldn't load:( ) Hand me the turquoise ones now, please. i'm getting new glasses soon, and I want them to look just like those.
YES!!! A charm-keeper without the doll! I want this! If only you could buy an Innnerstar U account, too.

That's it for new MyAG stuff. No new historical stuff:( On to Bitty!
 This is really cute!
 Yippee, another overpriced stuffed animal.

 Aww!

 AWW!
 Camping stuff!
This set is really cute!

Overall, a pretty good release. not the best, but definitely not the worst. Isabelle will be a good GOTY, and the MyAG stuff will sell. AG could've done better, though. Well, they'll have another release soon. And we're due for another Historical soon;)
